Betts Closes Career with 15th UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week Presented by La Victoria

LOS ANGELES – Senior Lauren Betts of UCLA Women's Basketball has repeated as the Student-Athlete of the Week presented by La Victoria for athletic competitions held between March 31-April 6.
Betts was named Most Outstanding Player for the 2026 NCAA DI Women's Basketball Championship after leading UCLA to its first-ever NCAA title. The center is the first player – male or female – to ever have an NCAA tournament with 125+ points, 50+ rebounds, 15+ blocks on 65.0 percent shooting or better. She had back-to-back double-doubles to close out the tournament against No. 1 seeds Texas and South Carolina, shooting 13-for-20 from the field in those victories. Lauren Betts finishes her career as UCLA's all-time leading shot blocker (235 @ UCLA, 264 career) and one of three players in program history with 1,800+ career points and 1,000+ career rebounds (joining Denise Curry and Natalie Williams).
Betts secures her record-setting 15th-career UCLA student-athlete of the week award.
