Chanti Holroyd was an outside hitter for coach Dave Winn at Mountain View High School in Mountain View, Calif. ... played three years earning three varsity letters in 2012, 2014-15 ... was named the Co-MVP of the SCVAL De Anza Division while averaging 4.4 kills per set and helping the Spartans advance to the semi-finals of the CCS Division II playoffs ... led the Spartans to a 31-6 record in 2015 ... earned Female Athlete of the Year for Mountain View High School ... was named to the Division II MaxPreps 2015 California All-State Volleyball Team ... earned first team All-American at the U-17 Open AAU Junior Olympics ... won gold at the AAU Pan Pacific Championships in 2015 ... was a 2016 state champion in beach volleyball after winning Cal Cup with partner and fellow Bruin Madi Yeomans ... placed third in the Long Beach Open in 2016 ... played and coached club indoor volleyball for Red Rock Volleyball Club ... earned bronze at Nationals with Red Rock in 2014 ... earned bronze at the Triple Crown Invitational in 2016 ... qualified for Nationals after a second place finish with Red rock in 2016.

Born Chanti Soleil Holroyd in Palo Alto, Calif. on April 18, 1998 ... prefers Chanti Soleil ... parents are Barry and Linda Holroyd ... is an only child ... chose to attend UCLA "because I've always known I wanted to stay in California, the mecca of beach volleyball, to pursue that sport and the lifestyle that comes with it. But UCLA specifically, is my dream school. My dad attended, and my grandmother taught psychology here. I grew up in a family where we nicknamed each other as "bears". Momma Bear, Barry Bear and Weezy Bear (after the dragon in Dragon Tales). Becoming a Bruin is in my blood, it's only natural." ... hobbies include oil painting, yoga and meditation, semiprecious gems and minerals, concerts and music, farmers markets, traveling, cooking and stretching ... has yet to declare a major.
