    • MET-Rx UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week

    Sophomore Kristee Porter (Tyler, TX/John Tyler HS) of the women?s volleyball team was selected the MET-Rx UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 27-Oct. 3.

    Porter posted another impressive weekend, notching 40 kills (6.67 per-game average), one service ace, 15 digs (2.5 per-game average) and six blocks (1.0/game average) during UCLA?s weekend wins over Washington and Washington State. In the process, Porter hit .500 (23 kills ? 4 errors ? 28 total attempts) at Washington and .441 for the weekend, upping her career kills total to 837 in 41 matches played (5.47/game career average). Porter, who led UCLA in both matches with 23 and 17 kills, has posted double-figure kills in 11 of 13 matches this season, including all four Pac-10 matches.
