MET-Rx UCLA Student-Athlete of the WeekKern, a two-time All-American, scored the game-winning goal with just 22 seconds remaining in regulation to give the third-ranked Bruins a 6-5 upset victory over previously unbeaten and top-ranked Stanford on Saturday, Sept. 25. Kern scored another crucial goal in the match to pull the Bruins to within one, 3-2, with one second to play in the third quarter. He helped seal the Bruin win with a goal with 1:39 left in the game.
