Opened the season coxing the first varsity eight against USC… Took over coxswain duties in the 3V4+ at the San Diego Crew Classic, guiding the crew to the grand final and fifth place… Led the 1V4+ to first place at the USD Dual regatta… Remained in the 1V4+ for the Big Ten Invitational on April 18 and 19… Led UCLA to a pair of fourth-place finishes and a third place over the course of three flights… Helped the 3V4+ to first place at the UCSD Triton Invitational… Coxed the 2V4+ to first place in the petite final of the Big Ten Championships in May… Honors: Big Ten Spring Academic Honor Roll, Big Ten Distinguished Scholar

Coxed UCLA’s varsity four crews (V4+, 2V4+) and its varsity eight (V8+) crew as a freshman… coxed the Bruins’ 2v4+ crew to a first place finish at the season-opening regatta against USC and Loyola Marymount (March 23)… coxed UCLA’s V8+ crew and 2V4+ crew at the Lake Natoma Invitational, pocketing a third-place and second-place finish respectively (April 6)… coxed the Bruins’ V4+ crew during the two-day Big Ten Invitational, finishing second out of five teams on day two (April 19-20)… coxed the V4+ crew in Lowell, Ore., at the Dexter Lake Invitational where UCLA finished second out of six boats (April 27)… also coxed UCLA’s V4+ crew at the Pac-12 Championships in Sacramento, Calif.
