Schmitt finished with an overall record of 16-11 ... partnered with Kamila Tan at #1 doubles and went 2-4, posting wins over Oregon State (March 23) and USC's Alexa Stonish and Paige Hines to win bronze at theย inaugural "Dad" Center Founder's Cup at Queen's Beach in Waikiki (March 23) ...ย partnered with Anastasia Kunz at #5 doubles and went 2-1, posting wins over Saint Mary's (March 28) and Loyola Marymount (April 1) ... partnered with Kendahl Hettick at #5 doubles and went 1-1, posting a win over CSU Bakersfield (April 4) ... partnered with Lexi Jasper-Baylin at #5 doubles and went 11-5, posting wins over Saint Mary's (April 11), Stanford (April 11), Arizona State (April 18), California (April 18), Arizona (April 18) and Saint Mary's (April 25) ... paired with Lexi Jasper-Baylin to win the Stanford 5's and 6's Pairs Tournament title, defeating Stanford'sย Petra Grutzik/Dana Ritchie in the finals, 19-21, 21-16, 21-19.
Schmitt was a two-sport student-athlete at Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, Calif. ... a four-time letterwinner in volleyball, she was coached by Kelly Drobeck and played middle block, outside hitter and on the right side for the Dons ... also played one season of sand volleyball at CCHS ... won two CIF, State and Western Volleyball League titles (2011 and 2012) during her prep career as her CCHS teams went undefeated in WVL play in those two championship seasons and were a combined 70-8 overall ... named Second Team and later First Team All-City Western Volleyball League ... also picked up Honorable Mention All-CIF and First Team All-CIF accolades during her prep career while registering 467 kills, 76 aces, 44 blocks and 421 digs ... served as a team captain her senior year for both the indoor and sand team ... earned 2014 AVCA High School Sand Honorable Mention All-America honors.
