Consani went 2-2 overall in her first year on the beach ... partnered with Skylar Dykstra at #5 doubles going 0-1 on the year ... partnered with Jennie Frager at #5 doubles going 1-0 on the year ... also went 1-1 in doubles in pairs tournaments.
CAL STATE FULLERTON
Consani played three years at Cal State Fullerton, playing in 74 matches and 238 sets ... started all 28 matches in 2013, leading the team with 11.08 assists per set (32nd in the nation, second in the Big West) ... concluded her time at Fullerton sixth in school history in assists ... added 2.76 digs per set and 17 aces (both third on the team), to go with 30 kills and 30 blocks ... recorded 12 matches with at least 40 assists and 14 double-figure digs contests, resulting in a team-best 14 double-doubles ... notched a career-best 61 assists on Oct. 4 against UC Davis, adding seven other 50-plus assist contests ... equaled a career best with 17 digs versus Cal Poly (Oct. 25) ... had a pair of three-ace contests ... again led the Titans in aps with 8.29 in 2012, adding 1.77 dps, 20 aces, 37 kills and 35 blocks ... tallied three matches with at least 50 assists and seven more with at least 40 ... posted six double-doubles ... served a career-high four aces against Santa Clara (Sept. 15) ... played in 15 matches as a freshman ... named to the 2012 Big West All-Academic Team.

Consani was the starting setter for four years at Calvary Chapel High School in Santa Ana, Calif. ... earned First Team All-Orange Coast League honors in 2009 and 2010 and Second Team accolades in 2008 ... was the team MVP as a senior and an All-Orange County selection her final two years ... team captain as a junior and senior ... helped the Eagles to the CIF playoffs all four seasons ... coached by Stella Guild ... was on the principal's honor roll every semester and a part of the National Honor Society as a junior and senior ... played club with TCA under coaches Steve Aird and Neil Mason ... was the setter and team captain for the 2010 USA Volleyball A2 squad and the High Performance Regional team in 2009.

Born Julie Ann Consani on Feb. 20, 1992 in Villa Park, Calif. ... parents are Kimberly and David Consani ... has one brother, Jonathan ... cousin Cole was on the UCLA men's water polo team (2005-2009) ... chose to attend UCLA because of the tradition, beautiful campus, strong academics and high level of competition within the sports programs ... favorites include the TV show "Arrested Development", actor Will Ferrell, the Los Angeles Lakers and singers Kid Cudi and Beyonce ... things she likes the most about volleyball are the competition, cheering and team camaraderie ... hobbies include going to the beach and playing anything competitively with friends ... biggest athletic thrill was setting the 2012 Fullerton squad that defeated Long Beach for the first time in 30 years ... majoring in sociology.
