Courtney Hill joins the UCLA Track and Field/Cross Country programs as the Director of Operations beginning in the fall of 2022 after serving as the Assistant Director, Travel Operations from 2019-2022 here at UCLA.
She oversaw 13 sports, six of those being Cross Country and Track & Field. Her role allowed her to manage all things team travel, logistics and operations.
Prior to her arrival at UCLA, Hill had a short stint with a company called Fusion Sport, Inc. where she specialized in Business Development & Team Operations from 2018-2019.
Her most notable experience was her time spent at the USA Track & Field National Office (USATF), serving as Coordinator, Generalist in 2015 before being promoted to International Teams Coordinator from 2016 – 2018.
Hill is a former Track & Field student athlete of Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Salukis from 2008-2012 and a member of the Missouri Valley Conference. Hill specialized in the 200, 400, and 800 meters, and was lead leg for the 4x400 meter relay team. Hill competed for four-time Olympian Connie Price-Smith, who is currently the Head Coach at the University of Mississippi. Hill graduated from Southern Illinois after majoring in Sport Administration & Sport Studies. Prior to her arrival at Southern Illinois, Hill competed for four years in both Cross Country and Track & Field at Lawrence North High School. Many of her former high school and collegiate teammates have gone on to compete at both the Olympic Games and World Championships.
Courtney is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana and her parents, Alan and Jennett Hill are former Basketball, Football and Track & Field student-athletes. Hill's father was inducted into the DePauw University Athletics Hall of Fame for both football and pole vault in 1994. Hill has one sibling, Preston, who competed in Football and Track & Field as well. Courtney is an active member of the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA), resides in Los Angeles and enjoys spending time with family, friends and traveling.
