Kory Alford enters his second season serving as the men’s basketball program’s video coordinator in 2016-17.
Alford assists with film breakdown, shooting footage at all team practices and compiling player development edits, in conjunction with Kory Barnett, the program’s Director of Player Development/Scouting. Alford also organizes in-depth statistical data and various analytic measures for the coaching staff.
Prior to joining the men’s basketball staff, Alford played four years of college basketball, including the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons at UCLA. Over the course of four seasons, he helped his teams advance to four NCAA Tournaments and consecutive Sweet 16 appearances in 2014 and 2015. He spent his first two seasons playing at the University of New Mexico.
Between his time at UCLA and New Mexico, Alford’s teams won three conference tournament titles and two conference regular-season crowns. He played in 34 games during three seasons, including 24 games during his two-year career at UCLA.
Alford graduated from UCLA in June 2015 with a degree in sociology. He and his wife, Haley, reside in Los Angeles.
