Jackson Westerman was a four-year letterwinner for head coach Ross Sinclairย at Newport Harbor High Schoolย โฆ scored 120 career goals with the Sailors and registered 253 earned exclusions, helping them win the Sunset League title in 2017 with a 22-5 overall record and a 5-0 mark in league play โฆ was a first team All-Sunset League selection in 2017 and a second team pick in 2016 โฆ was named third team All-CIF in 2016 and 2017 โฆ NHHSย finished 2nd in CIF-SS Division I Regionals in 2017 and was a quarterfinalist in 2014 and 2016 โฆ was a first team All-Dream Team selection by the Daily Pilot and second team All-Orange County pick in 2017 โฆ earned Sunset League All-Academic honors in 2015 as well as being named aย USAWPย Academic All-American โฆ was a California/Hawaii ninth team All-Americanย โฆ also competed in club ball for SOCALย Water Polo Club and Newport Beach Water Polo Clubย โฆ member of the men's Developmental National Team in 2014 โฆ member of SOPACย Zone ODP Team (2013-16) and was an NTSC Candidate in 2014 and 2016 โฆ was a USAWPย honorable mention 18 & Under All-American in 2017.

Full name: Jackson Reed Westermanย โฆ born January 29, 2000ย in San Francisco, Calif.ย โฆ his parents are Katherine and Steve Westermanย โฆ has three older sisters, Brittany, Averi and Lissaย โฆ both of his parents attended UCLA โฆ all three sisters played collegiate water polo; Brittany (Brown), Lissaย (Hartwick) andย Averiย (UC San Diego) โฆ lists video editing, screen writing, reading, traveling and playing beach volleyball as his hobbiesย โฆ also interested in government, politics and film โฆ lists Grayson Allen and Jackie Robinson as the athletes he most admires โฆ says he chose to attend UCLA because, "It has always been a goal of mine to go to UCLA and be a part of the excellent team atmosphere and the strong athletic and academic programs. The fact that both of my parents attended UCLA and that I always strive to become the best water polo player that I can, I felt like UCLA was the best fit for me." โฆ lists his biggest athletic thrillย as, "Winning Sunset League my senior year in sudden-death overtime. It was a goal our team had set and we finally accomplished it in our last year" โฆ majoring in political science.
