Anastasia Kunz finished with an overall record of 4-3 ... partnered with Ivey Schmitt at #5 doubles and went 2-1, posting wins over Saint Mary's (March 28) and Loyola Marymount (April 1) ... partnered with Kendahl Hettick in exhibition play going 3-1 and went 1-0 with Natalie Miller ... paired with Kendahl Hettick (went 2-2), reaching the semifinals at the Stanford 5's and 6's Pairs Tournament, falling to the Cardinal's Petra Grutzik/Dana Ritchie, 21-19, 21-17.
Kunz was a two-sport student-athlete at San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara, Calif. ... was a three-time letterwinner in volleyball for head coach Erica Downing as an outside hitter and libero ... helped lead the Royals to the Channel Volleyball League title in 2012 as SMHS went 20-12 overall ... also earned three varsity letters in track and field.

Born Anastasia Joy Kunz in Santa Barbara, Calif., on Feb. 22, 1996 ... parents are John and Joy Kunz ... has an older brother, Jackson ... chose to attend UCLA because, "I am interested in research in the biological sciences, and UCLA has a great program and because I love the school spirit, the location and I always enjoyed my visits to the campus" ... lists having the opportunity to compete for CIF titles in volleyball and track and field as the biggest athletic thrill of her career ... hobbies include playing the guitar and piano, hiking, photography and spending time at the beach ... athlete she admires is Olympic gold medalist in track and field, Allyson Felix ... majoring in biology.
