Opened the year in three seat of the 4V4+ in the annual rivalry regatta against USC… Sat five seat in the 4V8+ at the San Diego Crew Classic; the crew finished fifth in the grand final… Helped the 4V8+ to a first-place finish from six seat at the USD Dual… Wrapped her season with a fifth-place finish in the grand final of the Big Ten Championships in mid-May.
High School
Attended Bellevue High School for four years… Rowed for the Sammamish Rowing Association… Raced in the National Championships in the 8+ for three years.
Personal
Born in Geneva, Ill…. Lived in the Bay Area then moved to Bellevue, Wash., at the age of thirteen… Is the daughter of Sarah Mcdermott and Don Looman… Has an older sister, Eleanor (22)... Chose UCLA “because of the amazing rowing team and academic setting”... Names Coco Gauff as the athlete she most admires… Enjoys music, playing bass, cooking and baking with her sister… Hopes to enter the field of linguistics and computer science upon graduation… Cognitive Science major.
