Jim Johnson
Jim Johnson
  • Induction:
    1992
Jim Johnson followed in the footsteps of his brother Rafer as a two-sport star at UCLA and captain of the track team. Jim was an outstanding football wingback and end and a track and field high hurdler and long jumper. After his collegiate career ended, he made his mark playing for San Francisco in the NFL. The 49ers moved him to cornerback early in his career and he developed into one of the all-time best. He intercepted 40 passes and made the Pro Bowl five times in a 16-year career from 1961-1976.

Johnson, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, was inducted into the UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame in 1992.
