Keith Erickson
- Induction:
- 1986
Coach John Wooden once called Keith Erickson the “finest all-around team defensive star” he coached at UCLA.
Erickson not only was a great basketball player on the Bruins’ 1964 and 1965 national champions, he also played baseball and was a star on the 1964 U.S. Olympic volleyball team. Following a standout college career, Erickson was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers, and he averaged 9.5 points per game in 12 seasons in the NBA. Later, he became a color commentator for NBA games on radio and television. He also operated several successful businesses.
