LOS ANGELES (AP) - If Baron Davis played his last home game for UCLA on Saturday, he left a lasting impression.
Davis scored 14 points, punctuated by a one-handed slam dunk in the closing seconds, as the 15th-ranked Bruins led the entire way in defeating Washington 79-62.
Students reminded Davis they want the sophomore point guard to forsake the NBA draft by shouting "two more years." He bent over and touched the floor at center court with his right hand before leaving to a standing ovation.
Earl Watson led the Bruins (21-7, 11-5 Pac-10) with 18 points before sitting down midway through the second half with a bruised left knee. JaRon Rush grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds.
UCLA won its fourth straight and avenged a 93-83 loss at Washington on Jan. 31 in which UCLA coach Steve Lavin was ejected and Davis earned a technical for tossing his mouthpiece on the floor.
The Bruins used fullcourt defensive pressure to harass the Huskies into 29 turnovers. Washington shot 29 percent in the first half, when 7-foot center Todd MacCulloch hardly touched the ball.
After Watson left with 11:26 remaining and UCLA ahead by 18 points, the Huskies (16-11, 9-8) took advantage with an 11-2 run that put them within nine. A 3-pointer by Bryan Brown, one of three he hit in the second half, had the Huskies trailing by eight.
The Bruins put the game away with a game-ending 20-11 run, including eight points by Travis Reed. Jerome Moiso, who at 6-foot-10 1/2 was UCLA's best answer for MacCulloch, scored over the 7-footer early in the run.
MacCulloch, who had 26 points and 21 rebounds in upsetting UCLA last month, was held to 10 points and 13 rebounds. Deon Luton also had 10 points in becoming the 27th player in Washington history to score 1,000 career points.
Donald Watts overcame five turnovers in the first half to score 11 of his 14 points in the second half for the Huskies, who haven't won at Pauley Pavilion since 1987. They were swept on the road trip, including a 70-57 loss at Southern California on Thursday.
