Men's Golf Team Captures Second At Northwest Classic

MONROE, Ore. - The UCLA men's golf team, ranked 16th in the preseason MasterCard poll, shaved 10 shots off host Oregon State's lead and finished in second place at the Northwest Classic at Diamond Woods Golf Club in Monroe, OR.
The Bruins fired a one-over par score of 289 in Tuesday's final round to earn second place by 10 shots over Oregon, which was third at 882. The Bruins' 54-hole score of 872 trailed Oregon State, which won the tournament with a score of 862. San Diego State was fourth at 884, followed by Pacific at 886.
Individually, the Bruins' Parker McLachlin and Brandon DiTullio tied for second place at 214, two-under par. McLachlin shot a final round 73 and DiTullio fired a two-under par 70. Freshman J.T. Kohut tied for 13th at 220 with a final round 71, junior Michael Vera tied for 30th at 225 and junior Steve Wagner tied for 43rd at 229.
