
UCLA Softball Downs Hofstra 6-1

Honolulu, Hawaii - Courtney Dale pitched seven innings while striking out nine batters as the top-ranked Bruin softball team defeated Hofstra, 6-1. As a team, the Bruins racked up 12 hits as opposed to one for the Pride, without an extra-base hit for either team. With the win, UCLA improves to 8-0 on the season, 2-0 in the Paradise Softball Classic. Hofstra falls to 0-3, with all games played in this tournament.
Every Bruin in the starting lineup had at least one hit in the game, with Dale going 2-for-3 and junior outfielder Lupe Brambila collecting a 3-for-3 game at the plate. Brambila also led the team with two RBI for the game.
UCLA (8-0, 2-0 at the Paradise Softball Classic) will face Texas (3-2, 0-1) in their second game of the day.
