One of the most attractive buildings on the UCLA campus is the John Wooden Center, a 95,000 square foot recreation complex, named after the legendary UCLA basketball coach.
The building serves students, faculty and staff, while serving as the primary training facility for the UCLA gymnastics and men's and women's volleyball teams.
Inside the building are 10 racquetball courts, two squash courts, a coed weight room, a basketball gymnasium with three regulation courts and seating for 2,000 people, a volleyball and badminton gymnasium, a dance studio, a gymnastics training center, a matted room for Judo and Karate classes and numerous meeting rooms.
