
UCLA Defeats CS Northridge, 3-0

The top-ranked and defending NCAA champion UCLA men's volleyball team swept Cal State Northridge Wednesday in a league match for both teams.
The Bruins won 30-20, 30-19, 30-22 in 78 minutes before 429 spectators in Pauley Pavilion.
UCLA (7-3, 3-1) shut down the Matadors' offense by out-blocking them 12.5-3.0 and limiting their hitting percentage to .062. The Bruins also served 12 aces and recorded 43 kills to their opponent's 28.
Sophomores Cameron Mount and Scott Morrow pounded nine kills apiece for UCLA. Mount also led the Bruins with four aces, a career high. Senior All-American Adam Naeve added eight kills, three aces and three blocks. Senior Mark Williams, in his first match since sustaining an ankle injury on Jan. 17, recorded seven kills, six block assists and an ace.
The Matadors (3-9, 0-7) were led by Oz Ozkoya's 10 kills.
The Bruins' next match will be Fri., Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. in Pauley Pavilion against UC Santa Barbara.
