Los Angeles -- The No. 27 UCLA women's tennis team won its second consecutive match Tuesday, downing Loyola Marymount, 6-1 at the Los Angeles Tennis Center. With the victory, UCLA improves to 5-10 on the season, while LMU falls to 6-6.
The Bruins took an early 1-0 lead on the afternoon after taking two of three doubles matches. UCLA then won five of six singles matches, including victories on the top five courts, to earn the 6-1 dual-match victory.
Next up for the Bruins is a match with crosstown rival USC this Friday. That match begins at 1:30 p.m. at USC's Marks Tennis Stadium.
