Tucson, Ariz. - Similar to its win yesterday over ASU, the No. 5 UCLA men's tennis team registered a commanding, 6-1 victory over Arizona on Saturday in Tucson. With the victory, the Bruins improve to 11-1 on the year, while the Wildcats fall to 6-3.

UCLA started the afternoon by sweeping all three doubles matches. UCLA's duo of Marcin Matkowski / Jean-Julien Rojer, ranked No. 1 in the nation, defeated Arizona's Steven Capriati/Tom Lloyd, 8-4 in the top position. At No. 2 doubles, 29th-ranked Tobias Clemens / Lassi Ketola of UCLA defeated Arizona's Carl Hagman/Colin O'Grady by the same score. The Bruins cruised in the No. 3 position, as Alberto Francis / Rodrigo Grilli dominated Arizona's Roeland Brateanu/Whi Kim, 8-1.

Singles was pretty much the same for UCLA, as the Bruins won five of six matches, sweeping courts Nos. 2-6. Rojer, Matkowski, Grilli, Erfan Djahangiri and Ketola all won singles matches. Arizona's only point on the day came at No. 1 singles where Capriati upset No. 9-ranked Clemens of UCLA, 6-2, 6-4.

The Bruins return home this Wednesday to host No. 10 Pepperdine at the LATC beginning at 1:30 p.m.
