Berkeley, Calif. - The No. 2-ranked UCLA men's tennis team fell to No. 19 Cal, 5-2 Saturday at the Hellman Tennis Courts in Berkeley, Calif. Even with the loss however, UCLA wins the 2002 Pac-10 title outright due to Stanford's loss to USC this afternoon. The Bruins beat Stanford yesterday and entered Saturday's match with the possibility ending up in a tie with the Cardinal at 6-1 in conference action. Instead, the Bruins finish in sole possession of first place and will receive the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Cal, Stanford and USC all finish in a three-way tie for second place at 5-2.

UCLA rounds out the 2002 regular season with a 19-4 overall record and 6-1 mark in Pac-10 play. The Golden Bears finish their season 18-6 overall.

The Bruins head to Ojai, Calif. for the Pac-10 championships this weekend before finding out which teams they will face in NCAA Regional action, May 11-12.
