The UCLA men's golf team fell to conference rival Arizona State 4-1 in the consolation semifinals of the Collegiate Match Play championships at the Barefoot Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Senior Roy Moon was the only UCLA player to win his match, defeating defending NCAA individual champion Alejandro Canizares 1-up. Both Steve Conway and John Merrick lost their matches 1-up. Travis Johnson lost 4 and 3, and John Poucher was beaten 5 and 4.
