The UCLA men's volleyball team swept visiting Concordia College of New York Wednesday night in Pauley Pavilion.
The Bruins (13-9) won 30-20, 30-26, 30-18 in 70 minutes before 320 fans. The victory was the Bruins' eighth in their last 10 matches. The Clippers fell to 7-13.
Sophomore outside hitter Jonathan Acosta led UCLA with 11 kills (.714) and three total blocks. Senior middle blocker Scott Morrow added six kills in six attempts plus three block assists. Adam Shrader led the home team with eight digs and senior Rich Nelson recorded 28 set assists in two games.
The Bruins hit .434 and limited the Clippers to a hitting percentage of .181. UCLA dominated the net, out-blocking Concordia, 13-4.
Freshman Felipe Reichert led Concordia with 14 kills but was held to a percentage of .240.
The Bruins host defending NCAA champion Hawaii Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. in Pauley Pavilion. The first 500 fans entering both matches will receive a free team photo.
