
UCLA Blue Team Leads Wyoming Cowboy Classic by Nine Shots

The UCLA men's golf Blue Team holds a nine-shot lead after 36 holes in the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, hosted by the University of Wyoming at Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ.
The Bruins posted a two-round team score of 550, 10-under par, and lead second place Idaho by nine shots. Boise State is third at 562, two-over par, followed by Utah at 564 and Drake at 565.
Individually, UCLA senior Travis Johnson and freshman Joakim Renstrom are tied for the lead at four-under par 136 with two other players. Johnson posted rounds of 69-67 and Renstrom fired an even par score of 70 in the first round and a four-under par 66 in the second round. Freshman Chris Heintz is tied for 15th at even par 140 (71-69), and Peter Campbell is tied for 20th at one-over par 141 (75-66). Sophomore Breene Murphy is tied for 23rd at two-over 142 (72-70).
Air Force's Jarett Hamamoto (69-67) and Boise State's Adam Choy (67-69) are tied for first with Johnson and Renstrom.
Final round action continues Tuesday.
