
Bruins Tie for 11th at Isleworth Invitational

The 10th-ranked UCLA men's golf team finished in a tie for 11th place at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational, hosted by the University of Central Florida at the Isleworth Country Club.
The Bruins posted a team score of 331 (+43) in the final round, a day after Hurricane Wilma blew through the Florida panhandle. UCLA fell from fourth place as Georgia won by 13 shots over Oklahoma State. Georgia Tech finished third at 894 (+30) and Arizona State and Wake Forest tied for fourth at 899 (+35).
On a day when the average score was 80.2 (+8), no UCLA player broke 80. Sophomore Brandon Christianson tied for 32nd at 226 (+10) and junior Kevin Chappell tied for 37th at 228 (+12). Junior Peter Campbell tied for 51st at 231 (+15), sophomore Craig Leslie tied for 61st at 234 (+18) and freshman James Lee tied for 88th at 236 (+20).
Oklahoma State's Pablo Martin won the event with a four-under par score of 212, including a 73 (+1) in the final round.
The field was off on Monday because of the hurricane.
