The UCLA men's volleyball team defeated Cal State Northridge in four games as the inaugural SAC Tournament ended Saturday on campus.
UCLA won 30-27, 22-30, 30-28, 30-22 in front of packed crowd at the Student Activities Center, formerly the old Men's Gym. The victory raised UCLA's record to 8-1 in the preseason.
Freshman Ryan Ratelle led the Bruins with 10 kills (.350) and seniors Damien Scott and Nick Scheftic each added eight kills. Scheftic led UCLA with five blocks and senior Paul George led the Bruins with seven digs.
In the earlier match, UC Santa Barbara defeated USC 30-27, 30-22, 30-25.
