Kate Richardson Named Pac-10 Gymnast Of The Week

Walnut Creek, Calif. - UCLA junior Kate Richardson has been named Pacific-10 Conference Gymnast of the Week for Feb. 7 - 13, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Richardson, who hails from Coquitlam, BC, won the all-around, vault and bars as UCLA defeated Washington, 196.575-192.6, on Feb. 13. She earned season-highs in the all-around (39.625) and vault (9.95, including a 10.0 from one judge) and tied her season-best on floor with a 9.925. Richardson's winning score on the bars was a 9.85. She also placed second on both beam (9.9) and floor (9.925).
Richardson competed on balance beam in the Bruin's win over Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 11 (191.4-189.825) and placed first with a 9.9. Her score was the only mark over 9.8 in the meet.
