The No. 5/17 UCLA men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Ohio State Sunday afternoon at the Penn State Nike Classic. Jonathan Bornstein scored UCLA's only goal for the second consecutive game and was named to the All-Tournament team along with goalkeeper Eric Reed.

After a scoreless first half, Ohio State jumped on the boards with a Kevin Nugent goal at 52:08. Xavier Balc doubled the lead with a goal at 58:16. Bornstein brought UCLA back into the game at 84:29 with an unassisted goal, but the Bruins ran out of time in their comeback bid.

The Bruins (3-2) were outshot, 11-7. Reed made four saves but gave up goals for the first time this season.

UCLA will next host UNLV on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 1 pm.
