Our season home opener was a bit of a roller coaster. There were some real highlights for us as a team, as well as some lowlights. Throughout the event it was encouraging to see our team continue to pick themselves up and fight when they would hit a bump in the road.

It's evident to us coaches that our team has talent, guts and heart. They came into the gym today excited about the things they did well, congratulating each other on specific performances that stood out. And then they switched gears and started discussing what needs to be cleaned up and how they intend to do it. It was quite remarkable to see them "get it" and take responsibility for "it" without us coaches having to spell "it" out to them.

As I mentioned before, they are really a fun team to coach.

All in all, we are an exciting, talented, hard-working team that just needs to "find its legs" ... literally!

See you in two weeks!
