The No. 9/10 UCLA men's soccer team rallied with a second-half goal by senior defender Kiel McClung to earn a 1-1 tie at Stanford on Sunday afternoon.

Stanford struck first in the game just seconds before halftime, when Kyle Hency struck a low shot past UCLA freshman goalkeeper Brian Perk.

The Bruins dominated play in the second half, outshooting Stanford, 7-3, and holding a 7-2 corner kick advantage. UCLA tied up the score at 77:52 on McClung's first goal of the year. Mike Zaher assisted on the play.

Both defenses held in the overtime period, with just one shot on goal, a Michael Alexander shot that was saved by Perk with less than three minutes to play. Perk made three saves on the day.

The Bruins' record moves to 4-3-2, 0-1-1 in the Pac-10. Stanford moves to 3-4-3, 1-0-1 in the Pac-10. UCLA will next host fourth-ranked Washington on Friday, Sept. 29 at 8 pm.
