Bruins Drop to Second at Pac-10 Golf Championship

The top-ranked UCLA women's golf team captured sixth place at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational Wednesday at Arizona National.

The Bruins posted a team score of 295 (+11) -- second best of the day -- and finished with a 54-hole total of 904 (+52). Oklahoma State won the event with a three-round score of 884 (+32). USC tied for second with Duke at 886 (+34), followed by fourth-place Arizona at 899 (+47) and Arizona State at 901 (+49).

Junior Tiffany Joh was the top individual for the Bruins. She rebounded from Tuesday's wind-elevated round of 80 to post a 70 (-2) and finished in a tie for fifth place at 220 (+7). The result was her sixth consecutive Top 10 finish of the season and ninth straight dating back to last year.

Freshman Glory Yang also avenged her second round score with a 72 (+1) on Wednesday and tied for 16th at 224 (+11). Sophomore Sydnee Michaels posted a score of 75 (+4) and tied for 20th at 225 (+12) and junior Ryann O'Toole tied for 55th at 236 (+23). Freshman Maria Jose Uribe tied for 63rd at 240 (+27).
