Johnny Quinn, Elijah Wells and Scott Crawford led the men's track and field team at the Occidental Invitational on Saturday as the trio all tallied regional qualifiers in their respective events.

Quinn won the pole vault with a lifetime-best clearance of 17-5.50, a mark that ranks ninth in the NCAA this season. Wells finished fifth in the 400m with a season-best and regional qualifying time of 47.12. Crawford, primarily an 800m runner, picked up a regional and lifetime-best mark of 3:47.15 in the 1500m to finish fourth overall.

In the 100m, Jamal Alston (7th, 10.58), Darius Walker (11th, 10.79) and Coleman Edmund (16th, 10.86) all ran season-best times. Kent Morikawa ran a lifetime-best 3:48.47 in the 1500m to finish sixth overall.

Mohamed Abdalla ran a huge lifetime-best in the 5000m, dropping over 17 seconds off of his previous best, as he placed fourth with a time of 14:20.46.

The Bruins will next head to Eugene, OR for the Pac-10 Championships May 16-17.
