Defending NCAA Gymnastics champion UCLA will host five home meets in 2011, including the Pac-10 Preview on Jan. 9 and the Pac-10 Championships on Mar. 19.
Also on UCLA's schedule are road meets at Utah to open the season (Jan. 7), dual meets at Stanford (Jan. 21) and Oregon State (Jan. 28), and a tri-meet with the Cardinal and Beavers in Chicago at the IGI "Chicago Style" Invitational (Feb. 11).
The Bruins' home opener will be the Pac-10 Preview, featuring all seven conference teams, on Sunday, Jan. 9. UCLA will also host the Pac-10 Championships on Saturday, Mar. 19 in what is scheduled to be the last event in Pauley Pavilion before it undergoes renovation.
UCLA, which graduated just one senior from last year's championship squad, will be led by returning NCAA champions Vanessa Zamarripa (vault) and Brittani McCullough (floor exercise), along with All-Americans Elyse Hopfner-Hibbs, Aisha Gerber and Niki Tom. The Bruins also welcome 2008 Olympic silver medalist Samantha Peszek, 2008 Olympic Trials participant Olivia Courtney, and 2009 Canadian national champion Sydney Sawa.
Season tickets for the 2011 season are on sale now for just $45 at the UCLA Central Ticket office. The season ticket includes a reserved seat for both the Pac-10 Preview at the Pac-10 Championships and a lower level seat at the other three regular season home meets.
