Laura Winn and Paulina Guzman each advanced in their respective events at the USA Senior National Diving Championships Preliminary in Iowa City, IA on Monday. The twosome, who competed against Stanford on Friday and Cal on Saturday, traveled to Iowa on a redeye flight to compete at USAs.

Winn advanced to the quarterfinals of the platform event after finishing 13th during prelims on Monday. She posted a score of 198.40 and will compete in the quarters on Thursday at 10:00 am (CST).

Guzman was seventh on one-meter with a score of 218.95 to advance to the semifinals which will be contested on Wednesday at 10:00 am (CST). The freshman diver holds dual citizenship with the U.S. and Guatemala so 13 divers advanced to the semis instead of the typical 12.

On Sunday, Guzman competed on 3M, but did not advance to the next round. Her score of 227.55 was just 12.5 points shy of advancing to the next round and she finished 24th overall.

Also on Sunday, incoming freshman Emma Ivory-Ganja finished seventh on three-meter with a score of 250.95. She will compete in the quarterfinal on Thursday. Ivory-Ganja also finished third on platform (260.70) and will join Winn in the quarterfinal, also on Thursday.
