Darkness forced the suspension of second round play at the 15th Windon Memorial Classic, hosted by Nortwestern University at the Evanston Golf Club in Skokie, IL Sunday.
With a few holes to play, the Bruins were in fourth place at two-over par, 17 shots behind Arkansas, which led the field at 15-under par. Host Northwestern was second at three-under par, followed by third place Indiana at one-over. Charlotte was fifth at seven-over.
Individually for the Bruins, senior Alex Shi Yup Kim was the team leader at three-under par, tied for third place. Kim posted at one-over par 71 in the first round. Sophomores Patrick Cantlay and Anton Arboleda and junior Pontus Widegren were each tied for 24th place at two-over par. Cantlay and Arboleda posted even par scores of 70 in the morning and Widegren carded a 73 (+3). Freshman Jay Hwang was five-over par in the second round and was tied for 43rd.
Arkansas's Ethan Tracy was the leader in the clubhouse at six-under par following a first round 68 (-2).
The second and third rounds will be completed on Monday.
