Senior Cory Primm punched his ticket to the NCAA Indoor Championships in the 800m on Saturday as he ran a lifetime-best and the No. 3 time in the country (1:47.31) at the Husky Classic in Seattle. Primm came into the meet with the 12th-best time in the NCAA for the mile and is now guaranteed a spot at Nationals with his NCAA automatic qualifier in the 800m. He was the top collegian in the event and second overall in Seattle.

Senior Jonathan Clark posted the 11th-best triple jump mark in the NCAA (51-10.50) as he placed second overall with a season-best jump. Freshman Alec Faldermeyer was the top collegiate finisher in the weight throw (2nd overall) with a toss of 65-10.25.

Junior Mark Weber threw a lifetime-best in the shot put as he placed fourth overall (55-10.25). In the pole vault, senior Greg Woepse tied for fifth with a clearance of 16-11. Senior Casey DiCesare tied for eighth (16-5.25), while his brother Scott tied for 13th (15-11.25). In the high jump, junior Taylor Hobson tied for fifth (6-9.50).

Sophomore Damien Thigpen opened up his Bruin career with a solid start in the 60m. He finished in a tie for fourth with a time of 6.89. Sophomore Randall Carroll tied for ninth with a time of 6.98 (6.96 in prelim). Sophomore Maxwell Dyce was second in the 200m (21.58),while freshman R.J. Frasier was eighth (22.09).

In the 400m, senior Quentin Powell was 10th overall as he ran a season-best of 48.74. Senior Alex Crabill was 30th in the mile as he ran a lifetime-best of 4:05.63. Junior Kent Morikawa ran a lifetime-best in the 3000m (8:10.27).

On Friday night, the DMR team of Crabill, Powell, Scott Crawford and Primm finished fourth with a time of 9:40.22.

The Bruins will take next weekend off as they prepare for the MPSF Indoor Championships, held February 25-26 in Seattle, WA.
