
Bruins Sweep Pacific to Split Bay Area Series

The 8th ranked UCLA men's volleyball team bounced back from their loss to Stanford by beating the Pacific Tigers 3-0.
The Bruins improved to 9-9 on the year and are now 4-8 in MPSF play. The win also improved UCLA's record against the Tigers to 31-2 all-time. Game scores were 25-23, 25-19 and 25-15.
Three UCLA juniors, Weston Dunlap, Kyle Caldwell and Thomas Amberg, all were instrumental in the Bruins' victory. Dunlap led the team with 14 kills on the night while Caldwell and Amberg were right behind him with 11 and 10 respectively. Weston also had a team-high 4 total blocks while Amberg chipped in with 3 block assists of his own. Caldwell contributed 5 digs in the victory as well. Freshman Robart Page had another solid performance as he finished the night with 9 kills against the Tigers.
Overall, the Bruins hit .484 as a team while Pacific hit just .250. Taylor Hughes led the Tigers with 10 kills.
The Bruins will be back on the court on Wednesday, March 2nd against the Cal State Northridge Matadors at the Matadome in Northridge. The two teams met earlier in the year at Pauley Pavilion with Bruins defeating the Matadaors 3-1.
