UCLA alumna Kristen Maloney will be inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame in the class of 2011. The 2000 Olympic bronze medalist and two-time U.S. all-around champion is one of seven inductees who will be honored on Aug. 19 in Saint Paul, MN at the USA Gymnastics National Congress and Trade Show.

Maloney competed at UCLA from 2001-05, winning the NCAA vault and balance beam titles during her senior season and being part of three NCAA Championship teams (2001, 2003, 2004). The 2005 Honda Award winner and Pac-10 Gymnast of the Year was the first gymnast in UCLA history to score a perfect 10 on the balance beam and remains the only UCLA gymnast to score a perfect 10 on all four events. She finished her career with five perfect 10 scores and nine All-America honors.

Prior to her UCLA career, Maloney was one of the United States' most successful gymnasts, winning back-to-back U.S. all-around titles in 1998 and 1999 and leading the U.S. to the bronze medal at the 2000 Olympic Games. She also won team and all-around titles at the 1998 Pacific Alliance Championship, won the gold medal on beam at the 1998 Goodwill Games and was the vault and floor champion at the 2000 U.S. Championships. Maloney, who is now an assistant coach at the University of New Hampshire, also competed at the 1999 and 1997 World Championships and was the 1998 USAG Sportswoman of the Year and a 1999 Sullivan Award nominee.

Joining Maloney in the 2011 class are artistic gymnasts Elise Ray, Chelle Stack and Jim Culhane; rhythmic gymnast Tamara Levinson; tumbler Jill Hollembeak and coach Stacy Maloney.
