UCLA Captures Fourth Place at Pac-12 Preview

The UCLA men's golf team finished fourth at the Pac-12 Preview Tuesday at Pumpkin Ridge's Witch Hollow Course in North Plains, OR.
In the final round, the Bruins posted a nine-under par score of 279 for a 54-hole total of 855 (-9). Cal took tournament honors by posting a score of 835 (-29), followed by Washington at 842 (-22) and USC at 843 (-21). Arizona State and co-host Oregon State tied for fifth place at 862 (-2).
Individually for UCLA, junior Anton Arboleda tied for 14th place at 212 (-4) following a final round score of 70 (-2). Sophomore Manav Shah placed 19th at 213 (-3) after posting his second 69 (-3) of the tournament. Sophomores Matt Pinizzotto and Jay Hwang each posted scores of 70 (-2) on Tuesday. Pinizzotto placed 24th at even par 216 and Hwang tied for 29th at three-over par 219. Finally, freshman Lorens Chan tied for 41st place at 224 (+8) following a 76 (+4) in the final round.
Washington's Trevor Simsby won medalist honors after firing a final round 66 (-6) for a three-round total of 205 (-11).
