Li Posts Top Bars Score on First Day of Olympic Trials

UCLA alumna Anna Li posted the top score of the evening on uneven bars, tying for top honors on the event with a score of 15.5 at the U.S. Olympic Trials in San Jose Friday evening.
Li, a two-event specialist, also competed on balance beam and scored 13.1. Her two-event score of 28.6 was second-best among the specialists and 12th overall.
The Trials conclude on Sunday at 5:30pm PT. The competition will be aired live on NBCOlympics.com and delayed at 9pm PT on NBC. After Sunday's competition, the Olympic team and replacement athletes will be announced. The individual all-around champion at the conclusion of the two days of competition at the Trials will automatically make the U.S. Olympic Team. The remaining spots will be determined by the selection committee.
