Three Bruins Earn Scholastic All-America Honors

Three UCLA gymnasts were named NACGC/W Scholastic All-Americans for 2011-12 - senior Aisha Gerber, junior Lichelle Wong and sophomore Samantha Peszek.
Gerber received her third career honor after recording a 4.0 in World Arts and Cultures during the school year. Peszek recieved her second-straight honor, posting a 3.66 GPA in Communication Studies. Wong earned her first nod after compiling a 3.51 in Psychobiology. All three gymnasts also earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors in 2012.
The Bruins posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.0872 during the year.
Individually, student-athletes were recognized for attaining a year-long or cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. Across all three divisions, 471 student-athletes hit the 3.5 benchmark, while 60 of those earned perfect 4.0 GPAs.
