Four UCLA golfers finished play Tuesday at the Anteater Invitational, hosted by El Niguel Country Club in Laguna Niguel.
Sophomore Preston Valder led the UCLA foursome, tying for third place at 219 (+3) following a final round score of 72 (E). Valder's result was his fourth Top 10 finish in six starts this season. Freshman Jonathan Garrick placed ninth at 222 (+6) after posting a score of 76 (+4) on Tuesday. That result was his third Top 10 finish this season. Sophomore Jay Hwang tied for 15th place at 224 (+8) following his round of 73 (+1) and freshman Lorens Chan tied for 24th at 229 (+13) after carding a 78 (+6) in the final round.
Loyola Marymount's Connor Campbell won the individual title with a 54-hole total of 216 (E) after posting a score of 71 on Tuesday.
Long Beach State won the team title -- its third this season under head coach Mickey Yokoi, a UCLA graduate and 1982 All-American.
