Kaitie Dyson

Former UCLA gymnast Kaitie Dyson returns for her second season as an undergraduate assistant coach. In her first season, she helped guide the Bruins to their second NCAA title.
Dyson injury-retired from gymnastics following the 1999 season. During that year, back injuries prevailed her from competing regularly. She competed three meets on floor and three on beam and was a member of the Bruins' Pac-10 and Regional Championship teams.
Dyson had an illustrious five-year elite career competing for Cypress Academy. She placed third on beam at the 1996 and 1997 USA Championships and was eighth in the all-around in 1996 as well. She competed internationally for the United States and was a three-year member of the U.S. National Team.
Dyson, who hails from Conroe, TX, is a junior who is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Education.
