LOS ANGELES – Bruin fans got their first look at the nation's No. 23-ranked UCLA women's basketball squad that sports the country's top-ranked recruiting class and were treated to an 92-54 win over Westmont in an exhibition game in Pauley Pavilion on Sunday afternoon.

The Bruins jumped out to a 12-2 lead to open the game with Nirra Fields scoring eight points in the first three minutes.

The Bruins built their largest first-half lead of 22 points (46-24) at the 1:18 mark on a free throw by freshman Jordin Canada. UCLA maintained that margin at the break, leading 48-26.

The Bruins never looked back, maintaining a 20-point-plus margin the entire second half. UCLA held its largest lead of 41 points (90-49) with 1:44 remaining on a free throw by freshman Chrissy Baird.

Fields and redshirt freshman Paulina Hersler led five UCLA players in double figures with 14 points, each. Hersler completed a double-double with a game-high-tying 13 rebounds. Redshirt sophomore Kari Korver added 12 points (4-for-6 from downtown) while freshman Lajahna Drummer had 11 points and seven rebounds.
