UCLA Gymnastics Ranked No. 5 in Preseason Poll

UCLA will open the 2015 gymnastics season ranked No. 5 in the preseason coaches poll. The Bruins have been ranked in the preseason Top 5 every year since the poll began in 1998. UCLA received one of 31 first-place votes and 618 total points to finish behind No. 1 Florida (756 points, 19 first-place votes), No. 2 Oklahoma (746 points, 8 first-place votes), No. 3 LSU (689 points, 2 first-place votes) and Alabama (669 points). Utah received the other first place vote and is ranked sixth (604 points).

UCLA will face three Top 10 teams - No. 6 Utah on Jan. 23, No. 9 Nebraska on Feb. 21 and No. 10 Stanford on Feb. 14 and Mar. 7. The Bruins also face five other Top 25 teams in No. 11 Oregon State on Jan. 12 in the season opener, No. 13 Arkansas on Mar. 13, No. 14 California on Feb. 1, No. 21 Arizona on Jan. 19 and No. 24 Washington on Feb. 9.

Season and individual meet tickets are on sale now at the UCLA Central Ticket Office (310-UCLA-WIN) and online at uclabruins.com/tickets. The Bruins' home opener takes place Jan. 19 against No. 21 Arizona.
