
Golfers Climb into a Tie for Eighth in Florida

UCLA posted a team score of 289 (+1) and settled into a tie for eighth place with Alabama at 584 (+8). South Carolina (572, -4) moved in front of first round leader Arizona (573, -3) and Northwestern (575, -1) remained in third place. USC was fourth at 578 (+2), followed by Oklahoma State, Stanford and Duke in a tie for fifth at 579 (+3).
Individually for the Bruins, freshman Lydia Choi was tied for 12th place at 144 (E) after posting a second straight even par 72. Sophomore Bronte Law, behind three birdies, had the team's best score, a one-under par 71. She was tied for 25th at 146 (+2). Freshman Erin Choi was tied for 31st at 147 (+3) after signing for a 77 (+5). Senior Erynne Lee was in 48th place at 151 (+7) following her score of 72 (E), and junior Louise Ridderstrom was tied for 49th at 152 (+8) after posting a 74 (+2).
South Carolina's Justine Dreher, who fired her second consecutive 68 (-4), was the 36-hole leader at eight-under par 136.
