
Spaulding Invited to Selection Camp

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Amateur Softball Association (ASA) of America and USA Softball announced on Monday the addition of junior Delaney Spaulding to the invitee list for January's USA Softball Women's National Team (WNT) Selection Camp.
Slated to be held Jan. 2-7, 2016 at Bill Barber Park in Irvine, Calif., Spaulding will join current teammate, freshman Paige Halstead, and former teammate, Ally Carda, as well as 36 other athletes who will vie for 17 spots on the 2016 USA Softball WNT roster that will compete at the World Cup of Softball XI, the XV World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Women's World Championship in Surrey, B.C., Canada and the Japan Cup.
Spaulding, a Second Team NFCA All-America and First Team All-Region and All-Pac-12 selection as a sophomore in 2015, led the Bruins in runs batted in with 72, tied for the team lead with 20 home runs and placed second with a .397 batting average. Spaulding was also first on the squad in runs scored (69), slugging (.852), doubles (20), sacrifice flies (6) and sacrifice hits (12).
