Ole Miss Edges UCLA, 4-3 at USTA/ITA National Team Indoors

Doubles was extremely close, with UCLA (5-4) earning the point following wins at court Nos. 1 and 3. Doubles came down to the No. 3 spot, where Dennis Mkrtchian and Austin Rapp were able to beat Stefan Lindmark and Grey Hamilton in a tiebreaker 7-6(4).
Following doubles, UCLA quickly found itself on the verge of victory after straight-set wins by second-ranked Mackenzie McDonald (court No. 1) and Martin Redlicki (court No. 2) to go ahead 3-1. Ole Miss was able to get on the board with a straight-set win at court No. 2, where the 78th-ranked Lindmark upset Mkrtchian, who is ranked 44th nationally, 6-4, 6-4.
The Rebels closed out the match by reeling off three-consecutive victories, including two three setters, to storm back and take the match 4-3. The final win came at court No. 6, where Vinod Gowda downed Bruin sophomore Joseph Di Giulio, 6-2, 6-7(5), 6-3 to clinch the win for Mississippi.
UCLA was ousted from the main draw of this year's tournament after suffering a 4-2 loss to No. 7 North Carolina in the first round on Friday.
