Spotlight: Mikaela Gerber

Sophomore gymnast Mikaela Gerber has lived in the shadow of her older sister Aisha, a UCLA All-American and NCAA champion, for years. This year - and particularly this week - Mikaela has taken her own turn in the Spotlight.
Gerber opens up about her disappointing freshman season and how she worked hard over the summer with her sister to improve her gymnastics. The hard work paid off this season, as Gerber has proven to be a consistent and valuable member of the Bruin team, earning career-high scores of 9.8 on beam and 9.85 on floor.
